De weergoden hadden een pittig weekend voorspeld en dat is ook gebleken. De duiven werden bij voorbaat al naar een ander station gebracht, met hopelijk nog een kans tot lossen op zaterdag, maar code rood werd afgegeven en de kansen waren weg. Er werd besloten om naar Duffel te gaan om daar voor de zondag de meeste kans te maken om te lossen. Duffel is voor ons nog ruim 202 km. Gelukkig konden ze daar in de middag gelost worden.

Er stond een stevige wind, wat vaak maakt dat de duiven ons links en rechts voorbij vliegen. We hadden op deze vlucht 33 duiven mee en die zijn er allemaal ook weer, in een tijdsbestek van ruim een uur!

De 1e duif die op het hok terug kwam was de 18-1515461. Deze doffer komt uit de Jonge Amerikaan van Hans Boenders x een 100% W.A. de Bruijn.

de 2e duif die op het hok terugkwam was de 16-1136354 “Delanie”. Deze duivin is van vaderskant uit eigen kweek en de moeder is Danie, ook eigen kweek ( Een goede vlieger, die nog steeds bij ons het kweekhok zit).
“Delanie” was in 2018 duifkampioen Vitesse & Snelheid CC Almelo en in 2018 duifkampioen Vitesse Afdeling 9, kring 1.

In de vereniging ‘Het Zuiden’. Hadden we wederom 4 duiven bij de eerste 10 (4,7,8,9, etc) en een prijspercentage van maar 36%. Ondanks de harde wind, kwamen de duiven redelijk goed af voor een ieder!

Nu rest ons morgen nog een Fond vlucht vanuit Fay aux Loges. Hierop hebben we 16 duiven mee. We zullen zien wie er het meeste geluk heeft na 4 nachten in de mand.
